We may not have talked much about Ron Sexsmith, a Canadian singer who already has several albums to his credit. But the reality is that he is an artist to be reckoned with some excellent songs, and, in time, a collaboration with Chris Martin, the Coldplay frontman, when there was so eccentric, so to speak. Now, Sexsmith is working on a new album which will be released next year, called Forever Endeavour , Release dated February 5 through Warner Music.

The album was produced by Mitchell Froom, a regular contributor to the singer, who had worked with Sexsmith in a variety of discs. The recording took place in 2011 in the city of Santa Monica, with some strings recorded in Los Angeles. According to the composer, the album has a melancholy orchestral sound, which represents a departure from the pop Taffy Long Player Late Bloomer, the singer's latest album released last year.

The singer spoke about the album to be released in February.

With Long Player, I wanted to do something like Tapestry-something catchy from start to finish. But these were perfect songs I worked with Mitchell. It's probably the most personal album I've done, so I felt that it was appropriate to him.

Sexsmith has also revealed the first song, called "Nowhere To Go", which certainly has a very melancholy vibe that corresponds to some of the early work of the artist. Next year, Sexsmith will be present in some dates in Europe , and also in the United States. On February 23, will be at the Apollo 2 in Barcelona, while the next day will be presented in Madrid in Sale el Sol. Tickets are already on sale through The Project .

Born in 1964 in Ontario, Sexsmith began playing professionally at age 16, when he stood as an interpreter in a bar. After releasing several albums that were gaining popularity, edited Cobblestone Runway in 2002, one of his biggest hits to date. He has collaborated throughout his career, with artists such as Martin, Katie Melua, Feist, and has been laudado by musicians like Elton John, Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello.
